Application Engineer
Location: Auburn, IN
Scheuch USA, Inc. is seeking an Application Engineer for the Auburn, IN office.
Responsibilities
The Application Engineer will be responsible for being an expert in the company’s high-end pollution and emissions control equipment and filtration products and applications across end-markets, being mindful of cost savings, and expanding into untapped markets. Perform an analysis of complex mechanical engineering application needs and develop recommendations to support customers in balancing business needs. Understand the difference in the company’s products versus competitors’ offerings and provide expert advice on the advantages of the company’s products in specific applications. Conduct tooling and application testing. Prepare and present progress, status, and forecasting reports for engineering projects. Maintain expert engineering knowledge on industry trends, training opportunities, and forecasts. Design and execute cost-saving initiatives with customers to use the company’s products and technology in support of sales growth. To ensure information sharing and goal alignment, actively collaborate with internal customers such as product marketing, manufacturing, and technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field and five years’ progressive experience which must include the following, concurrently:
- 2 years’ experience in air pollution control technologies
- 5 years’ experience in application engineering
Experience in the Following:
- Air pollution control technologies
- Application Engineering with direct customer engagement experience
- Advanced system design work in AutoCAD
- Advanced use of Excel
- Local travel is required. 1-2 times per month.
- Exhibited proficiency in synthesizing specific and complex client requirements.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Scheuch’s proprietary technology and tools.
